Door locks and cylinders

Usually a private residence qualify from yellow to blue, but it is wise to have a talk with your insurance consultant and establish which class your property must be ensured so that you can get compensation in case of burglary. You may need only to supplement or enhance the current locks.

Are your locks in order?
It is only a few things you can learn about your safety locks by simply looking at them. But some elementary precautions you can check the questions below. Can you answer yes to all questions meet your housing F & P’s claim to good lock security.

1. Is your Door locks and cylinders replaced within the last 10 years?
2. Is the lock and striker plate properly and securely fastened?
3. Is the bolt piece hidden from the outside when the door is closed?
4. Is there a steel bolt lock on each?
5. Gauge bolt at least 21 mm beyond the locked position
(from pole to rich the front edge)?
6. Have at least one of the locks cylinder both inside and out?
7. Flush cylinder and cylinder ring with each other?
